General Statement
These condtions are an agreement between cash4ipods.co.uk (part of the sitecentric network) and yourself. Please read these terms and condtions carefully and if you do not agree with them, do not use our store and/or do not sell your ipod to cash4ipods.co.uk. By sending your ipod to cash4ipods.co.uk, you are agreeing to and accepting these terms/conditions of use.
Cash4ipods.co.uk are in no way affiliated to or approved by Apple inc. We are an individual entity that offer a service to owners of genuine apple ipods and allow visitors to purchase refurbished ipod units. We are firm believers in the ideology of reuse, refurbish and recycle. In a World where waste is such a large and damaging problem we are trying to make a difference, nevermind how small!
Pricing / Valuation
We reserve the right to change our valuation tool from time to time and also alter the prices of goods and services offered from our website. However valuations processed before any changes in pricing will be adhered to - that is as long as the sales job has been submitted to us prior to any system and pricing updates being implemented.
Assessing the condition of your ipod
Please be honest when assessing the condition of your unit. It makes the process much easier for both ourselves and you. When honesty is implemented the majority of our customers receive the price they valued their unit at when using our valuation tool. We will not be cheated - ipods incorrectly assessed will be valued by ourselves and a revised price offered to you, the customer. If customers try to cheat us by removing parts from the ipod before submitting the unit to ourselves, we will return the unit to you and ban you from using our website. If you wish to submit an ipod to us that has a part or parts missing for a valid reason, please contact us before hand and we will let you know whether we will accept the unit and what price we will offer for the unit in such a condition.
Revised ipod values
We conduct a number of tests upon receiving your ipod. If we find any further problems we will offer you a revised price for the unit. You have the option of either accepting this revised offer along with a postage refund (see shipping & returns) or we will return the ipod to you. Such revised offers are often made when customers have not accurately assessed the condition of their unit or when we find other problems such as low battery life.
Water Damage
We no longer accept units that have been damaged by water or liquid. Units categorised by using another fault code and subsequently found to have been damaged by water or liquid ingress will not be purchased. We will also not offer to return these units free of charge, but instead will ask for a postage contribution from the customer. Water or Liquid damage is easy to diagnose in iPods and iPhones. From oxidation of electrical components within the unit, behaviour and of course water sensors. We complete a full diagnosis of all submitted units. If you are not sure whether your iPod has been damaged as a result of exposure to liquid, please contact us before sending the unit in.We will of course recycle Water Damaged units free of charge - please contact us for further details.
Payment
We will pay customers via Paypal, personal cheque or through a gift voucher that can be redeemed in our store. We will ask you what payment option you wish to accept when providing you with a final valuation for your ipod.
Units sold by mistake
If, after selling your ipod to us, you subsequently decide that you want the unit back, we will do our best to locate the unit and return it to you. However we cannot guarantee that this will be possible as the unit may have been dismantled for parts or have been refurbished and resold. If we do locate your unit, we will expect you to refund the monies paid for your ipod in full, (along with the postage refund fee) before returning your unit.
Before you sell your unit / Stolen units
When selling your unit to cash4ipods.co.uk, you are confirming that you are the legal owner of the unit and have the legal right to transfer ownership of the unit to cash4ipods.co.uk. You confirm that no other individual or organisation has any claim of ownership over the unit and you can confirm that the unit is not stolen. If a stolen unit is submitted to ourselves we reserve the right to liase with the relevant authorities and could possibly share information with organisations such as the police to help them in their enquiries..
We use the CheckMend service when purchasing units to ascertain ownership rights and discover whether units have been reported as stolen.
